Bigger and better Project Workshops

The Project Workshops group is proud to announce that work has finally started on their long awaited new facilities at Lains Farm. The new buildings, which will occupy the site of the old grain store to the north of the existing Project Workshops complex, include six fabulous new workshop units, covered exhibition space and a brand new 4000 sq ft sculpture foundry – one of the most modern and competitive in the country. Scheduled for completion by November 2009, the new development will offer bespoke studio and workshop space for up to eight additional arts businesses, making Project Workshops one of the biggest commercial centres dedicated to the visual arts in the south of England. Not surprisingly, all the upheaval means that we just can’t manage to host our increasingly popular open studios event this year, but please watch this space for news of our grand opening and exhibition, which is scheduled for May 2010. Look here too for photos of the buildings taking shape – coming soon!
